school's out i feel like i have no purpose in life any more ahhaha how tragic
my days are taken up by trawling the net for this korean boy band
2PM
they are very big in korea, they make fun music, and what else. oh, and they are super effing hot. that is all.
look them up on google/youtube if you enjoy fine abs, overwhelming charisma, undeniable talent and just general hotness.
i've amassed a rather shocking amount of images, gifs and videos of these 7 dorks, and i most definately should get some sort of prize for my intense fangirl-ism.
maybe i should've titled this post"What Time Is It Now? Time For A Nosebleed."coz DAYUM these boys are gorgeous.
wow how didactic. i'll let you make your own mind up.
PUAHAHAHHAHAHA
oh god i love them i'm a terribly sad person can you tell?
i can just SEE daria rolling her eyes at me right now
BUT CAN YOU BLAME ME?? and besides, that was a post of MUCH needed TESTOSTERONE on our dear blog don't you agree?
"Daedalus built the wings from feathers and wax, and before the two set off he warned Icarus not to fly too low lest his wings touch the waves and get wet, and not too high lest the sun melt the wax."
"But the young Icarus, overwhelmed by the thrill of flying, did not heed his father's warning, and flew too close to the sun..."
with temperatures soaring to the fourties, the insulation from the feathers made me melt.
birds regularly dunk themselves in water and they can feel the wind soaring beneath their feathers...but i'm a human, so these feathers will have to wait until the colder seasons.

HAHa
ok so anyway can you guess what was running through my head? i have never loved the colour more than i am loving it right now pink it's so fabulous and happy and bright and doesn't have to be saccharine if you don't let it go there anyways so daria made it a thing to do a diy on ya birthday (the 18th spring)
so here is mine oh wait, the obligatory spaz
"OMG I'M FINALLY 18 NOW I MY LIFE IS COMPLETE I CAN DRINK AND SMOKE (not that i do BELIEVE ME) AND get into CLUBS AND ALL THAT STUFF NOW LEGALLY ..................... and i'll also be charged adult fares on the bus, train, plane ............................................. damn."
hahah i kid. being 18 is fabulous even though people still think i'm 14
moving on.
so i basically unpicked the sleeves of a terribly nice white blazer i got at a local thrift store that was one size too big on me, so it looked really chat on me then i sewed a handmade net "tutu" of sorts onto each sleeve
yes
maybe i should've labelleed this post "insta-gro biceps!" or "how itchy net REALLY is" or "how to wear loofahs on your arms"
I've been getting some questions about where i get visuals for the inspiration posts.
here's the deal : i usually go through phases/themes and then i search up images/works using google. Other than that i regularly visit the following websites for the latest editorials/news/interesting things.
It's from these websites that i then look through portfolios of photographers/ hair & make-up artists/ stylists and others who are involved in the creative process.
I try my best to source the images with the hope that people will go and search through the portfolios of those who work behind-the-scenes and truly appreciate their work.
I don't currently subscribe to any fashion magazines. All the things you see here are usually obtained directly from the portfolios of the people who were involved in creating them.
However, so far from what i've seen , i enjoy the editorials from Vogue Italia, Dazed & Confused, Numero, Vogue Nippon and Vogue Korea.
As for favourite photographers, I am currently amazed by works from the following people:
Paco Peregrin
Ellen Von Unwerth
Solve Sundsbo
Pamela Reed & Matthew Rader
Miles Aldridge
Sebastian Kim
Malcolm Edwards (hair artist)
Cristina Casini(stylist)
Jessie Craig
Zena Holloway
Alix Malka
Andrea Spotorno
All of the other artists that i credit/ source are favourites as well, but i think the list would be longer than Santa's if i added all those other names.
So, please take the time to check out their portfolios and admire their work.

it's been a great weekend with nothing to worry about,
with family gatherings,
and shopping together with parents,
things that i have not done in a very very long time.
tomorrow i start work as a volunteer at my local Salvos which i'm really excited about.
and i did not punch the lenses out of these glasses, because i knew that Willow despises people who do that ... hehehe.
hope you're having a lovely day!!

Hello !! It's Daria here, and my exams are now OVER, so I thought I'd start posting again. Willow's exams stretch on until the 13th of November so best of luck to her with that last French exam! And Happy 18th Birthday to her as well!
So imagine that I'm passing around a large plate of mud cake for everyone to share , trust me it's better that the cake is virtual, because I don't bake well !
I think Willow is doing a special post for her birthday so you guys will see that when she's all done :) I'm also excited for that too, because I haven't actually caught a glimpse of it yet...
On another note, both of us would like to give a very special Thank You to the beautiful Elly from Click Clock Culture for sending us a Christmas-themed gift package all the way from Melbourne! She was cleaning our her wardrobe and had some stuff that she thought we'd like (which we do!). We wish Elly oodles of fun as she starts her journey country-hopping around the world.
Click Clock Culture is one of our favourites, because the posts have unique balance between lifestyle and fashion making it an extremely well rounded and detailed personal style blog. Not to mention those stunning photos. That's why we've pilfered some off her blog so you can see just how intricately the package was prepared.
The wrapping was so delicate with the sparkling paper , the note , the individually wrapped lucky dip packages... 0.0" <--- our facial expressions.
The aroma of roses contributed to the faster rates at which our jaws dropped.
she actually crocheted these pretty little decorations on the tags!
the lucky dips in very Harry-Potter like-style- organza-bags.
We're going to show you what was inside the package as we wear the clothes in proper outfits :)
posting is now back to regular too.
oh, and i've missed you guys so much like you wouldn't believe.
this is such an impromptu post, so i apologise in advance if i sound abit cuckoo and cluttered...
AND WELCOME TO NEW READERS, SORRY FOR THAT LOOONGG BREAK.
you've just subscribed to a blog with two crazy crazy and short kids.
Hi guys, so we're currently battling through uni entrance exams , but I still had this post waiting in the drafts (what hiatus?).
Moving on, I don't know anyone here who celebrates Halloween , but seeing as many of you out there are doing so, my participation is as follows...
Here are some "other-worldly" photos and a DIY afterwards...and then maybe I will eat pumpkin soup on the night while reading Harry Potter again revising for modern history and economics .

I'm not going to try and recreate that spectacular Stephen Jones headpiece, because I don't have the heart to rip off my barbie dolls' legs, I shudder even when typing such a heart palpitating activity.
Instead, I really liked the cat bags that Rosie from Through the Wilderness posted HERE , especially the one below .
I'm using a free black bag I received from subscribing to the Sydney Morning Herald. I've already done a DIY with blue eyes (click HERE for that post) , so this time, I decided to go with green eyes.
I don't know of any rectangular faced cats, so i tucked and (glued inwards) the corners of the bag. "Tucking inwards" = Put your hand inside the bag, reach for a corner and start pulling inwards.
The eyes were drawn on paper as templates and then cut out from felt.
Then the pieces were glued.
Hope you have a fun Halloween!
We'd also like to welcome new readers too! (yes, there are two people who blog here) Sorry if you're feeling disappointed at the lack of updates, there are always the archives/ labels to browse through.
Blogging will be back to normal after the 6th Nov, so see you soon!

PS:
This is totally unrelated but i'd like to lodge a complaint to Faber Castell Classic Colour Pencils. You really should not have altered the metallic gold colour 352. The gold was previously darker and matte with a faint glimmer, what's with the new hideous dung-fused-with-canary-yellow-colour that produces inconsistent lumpy glitter?
Recently in the evenings at 6pm, The Flintstones have been airing! So now if there's a Simpsons re-run, I can watch a Flintstones re-run instead.
I don't know what I'd do without books or Youtube.
Just when I thought I could escape from these cartoon families, Jeremy Scott presents a collection inspired by them complete with zigzag hems and black print.
I've also been causing alot of noise pollution today by tirelessly humming this tune, even while chomping cheerios in the morning.
Those fluoro hair extensions and colourful hair sprays at all the bargain stores are starting to make alot more sense now.
and if I owned a pair from the following shoes,
I'd always place them at least a 5metre radius away from my dog.
Sadly, this is the only orange item in my wardrobe, and it's not even a vibrant shade, it's almost salmon (the only fish that I would gladly ditch chicken for). I have no explanation as to why I have not bought any other orange wearable items.
I keep a photo of this fuzzy orange hat from Michael Kors to encourage myself .
it certainly puts my only orange item to shame in terms of "orange saturation"
Orange fits into my life in the following ways:
1. my favourite highlighter is fluoro orange
2. I use bright orange post-it notes
3. I usually eat an orange after dinner.
4. I also eat carrots in the hope that they are helping my eyes? I know people who enthusiastically lather up in carrot facials with the hope of achieving a tanned complexion.
I can't wear orange highlighters, post-it notes (possible...), orange peels and carrots (let's not even go there).
but then again i never thought i'd be wearing a bone on my head.
okay, i know this is totally unrelated to the rest of the post, but i can't fit it anywhere else.
